A couple of years back when the video for Radio Nowhere from Bruce Springsteens album Magic was released, it was a real bummer.
The vibe and lyrics of the song conjure up images of a man trying to find his way home, traveling through desolate parts of America while trying to find some crucial tunes on the radio. When the official video dropped all we got was some footage of the band playing the song in the recording studio with b-roll of some people walking around New York City. Basically the opposite of the images that the song conjures up.
So sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands. Heres my version
I agree with what you have written in your description. Although, I also think it means the sorry state of the music business today. Most of popular music nowadays is not worth listening to and he is searching for something good in a sea of mediocrity.
