  • 2011 was a really interesting River Cottage year, with the Fish Fight and the River Cottage Veg series. Looking forward to next year and especially excited about energyshare and the peoplefund.it projects. Happy Christmas and good luck with everything! And thanks for always making such interesting TV programmes!

  • Happy Christmas Hugh and river cottage family and all the best for 2012.

Do you think you might look into RAW vegan foods and recipes next year now that you have experienced being a vegetarian? We would appreciate your thoughts and comments.

Wishing you all good things ADEx

  • I used to think of you as a bit of a wild child with some wacky cookery ideas. Since your campaign on the "Fish Fight" and the series on vegetarian cookery I have come to like you even better. Thankyou for both inspiring us to attempt different ways of preparing and and celebrating food but also for your pioneering of causes that so many feel they have silent voices and can never be heard! Regards Peter.

  • Yes! Thank you for some terrific ideas this year, I'm really enjoying seaweed these days, every day in fact! and I am eating a lot more tuna now I know the Princes are promising to be more ecologically friendly! A Merry Chistmas and Happy New Year!!

  • Thanks Hugh! And a Merry Christmas to you too. Keep up the good work- you never cease to inspire us! x

  • Happy Christmas Hugh and I hope 2012 is a good one for you!

  • many thanks for your christmas message Huge your have helped me though illness and all i would like for Christmas is to meet you in person or a christmas card sign by you and the team looking to rent long term near River cottage but no were as yet

  • Thanks to you we cannot afford to eat chicken as often as we used to but having said that a corn fed free range once in a while more than makes up for it. Your programmes have certainly altered our shopping habits and I have found I can shop as cheaply by making use of more economical cuts and cooking them well. I have also been making my own bread for a year now. Thank you Hugh and keep up the good work.

  • Keep up the very good work that you do. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
