Paradise Road (The story of Dolly Parton)

Paradise Road is the Dollywood production show about the story of Dolly Parton's life. You will find most of the show but a few small areas were not recorded. This recording was made by Andy Rodgers, here is what Andy had to say on his posting of a small part of this recording.

"I found my original VHSC's of a recording I did when I was only 13 or 14 of Paradise Road. Those not familiar... It ran from 1998-2001 at Dollywood's DP-Celebrity theater. "The Life and Times of Dolly Parton". The last Dollywood Production of Michael Padgett before he passed. The camera work and quality are not good at all!!! But, this was one of the most moving scenes at Dollywood other than "The Lord is with You" I have seen. Michael knew just what to do to get this level of final product."

I thank Andy for letting me post this recording. I think it is one of the best shows the park has ever done and I would so love to see it return to the park. Many feel it is the best show in the parks history. I hope you will enjoy the show! Post comments and share it with others. My hope it that it will get lots of views and maybe help the park see how much the show was loved and who knows, maybe some day they will bring back an updated remake of the show!

I've been wanting to see this for years as a major Dolly fan. I can remember being in the audience for this when I was younger but I can't recall alot about it. Thank you for this Bill and Andy.

I can remember as a child of 11 years old, watching this with my grandfather, while my grandmother worked as pastry chef in DollyWood's own Spotlight Bakery. This is one of my all time favorite shows from the park, I saw it probably ten times that summer. I had a season pass and visited the park 21 consecutive days!!! Thanks so much for posting, this brings back some wonderful memories of some times I have spent with my grandfather. :)

They should have never taken it away Dollywood please bring it back you always get rid of something that flows at Dollywood that's why it feels like she's leaving the park she's in and out in 10 seconds its sure changed I love dollywood but come on when something works why change it
