what's the use of a swim bait hook?why can't u just put a 4/0odd hook and a pegged 1/8 oz bullet weight?

@thebassguy32 You need to have a weight under it or they will spin through the water instead of swimming. 

Before there were good options for hooks, I used a 5/0 hook with a pinch on weight. I would put the the weight down the length of the hook and pinch it on. Worked decent for awhile.
