There is no foreign matter in the pressure tube, except for dry air, and the added tubing which you should clean before inserting. This "fix" is nothing new and causes no problems if done right. A fellow named "Mamcrackin" came up with this fix several years ago on an AF Talon forum.
Removal is easy. Straighten out a clothes hanger, bend a small "hook" on one end and put it down the cylinder, grabbing the edge of the tubing and pull it out.

@mrmactknife That makes perfect sense. Somehow, that was not one of the things I considered when I saw that gun come out last year. Twice the cylinders = Twice the PING!!! :)

So when you make the depinger , does it get trimmed so that the ends butt each other (and make a perfect circle as viewed from the end) or is there overlap of the ends of the split tube?

@weehooker Over lap a little - so it has some "spring" to it, pushing on the outside of the tube as it tries to reopen.
