  • @RobertBienenfeld No, they served their purpose and they're worn out. They've been maxed out and there may not be much more that can be technically done with them. The Enterprise (CVN-65) itself probably should have been retired and replaced well over a decade ago. Look, a 20-25 year lifespan is considered long for any seagoing vessel whether it's a government or private commercial ship. 40 years or more service means a ship is ancient! Gets harder to operate older ships.

  • But now all these ships are moth balled in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Wilmington Navy Yards, so what gives? As I've seen them just sitting there. Does that mean Russia won? And took over the USA and put all Navy USA Ships Moth balled?

  • 18:12 Nakajima Ki 43 Oscar actually.

  • I am related to Samuel P. Langley

  • As a former EA-6B avionics tech, these awesome ships had the bad guys shaking in their boots and lend credence that NAVY PILOTS are the world's best!!!

  • Anyone know which golf course that is around 11:55?

  • @macbrack04

id like to know how what you are saying has anything to do with this video?

Plus why you hating dude. americas navy is the best in the world so get over it

  • as a carrier sailor this is a great film.

  • @macbrack04: ok ok you got it man. THANK YOU!!!! for The Angled Deck and Mirror Landing system. We really appreciate it!!! In turn, had the soviets had the balls to come sailing down to the north Atlantic, we would have kept those sea lanes open for you guys. Anyway once again THANK YOU. We really mean it!! lol

  • Yet again, with breath-taking arrogance and more just a large dose of hyperbole, americans try to take credit for the inventions/development and operation of technology which in fact was done by other countries!!!
