man thanks for posting this vid. it takes me back to the streets just like saj describes it had the top say what TOP specifications and such a great sound and unmatched POWER.
i had this boombox in 1986, it was the biggest, and i remeber the specs 35watts rms per channel, wooden speakers, dolby b tape deck solenoid, my dad used to work at philips and got this for me, but had to take it back as it was so unreliable the tape speed was not stable and the solenoids were the culprit, ended with a pye ghettoblaster, and that lasted for 3 years and again the tape solenoids were at fault.
Had one of these in '86.Great bit of kit, batts only last 15mins if you use Duracells. I used a 12v army radio battery on the 12v jack and got 2hrs cordless..which is pleanty cos you don't want to carry it for longer as it weighs a lot!!!
Wow, that think is certainly very large, it must be very heavy, especially with batteries in it. I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not crazy about the song you're playing on the cassette there.
You've got to be kidding about the battery life, are you serious? Do you really mean the batteries last 15 minutes? Were you using good quality fresh batteries? Did you time how long the batteries lasted?

(we were the stone in the shoe of the local shop keepers, we just nicked the batteries....)

I just got one of these... it's amazing how big it is, sounds really good as well...
I don't know about the batterylife, but I'm happy to see that it has a 12v input so I should be able to connect it to an external battery..
