This is the year 1 opening titles where Gary Collin's character walks around the university where he was a professor of parapsychology. (filmed on the Milliken Library grounds at Caltech). Music is the second theme of the first year by Billy Goldenberg. The closing titles from "Whisper of Evil" follow.

  • That's a terrific insight.

On behalf of all us fans; we thank you.

  • @SixthSense1972 I agreee. It was one of a kind.

  • I really WISH I could obtain a copy of the Sixth Sense series WITHOUT the Night Gallery credits - in other words, just the Sixth Sense shows as they are shown in this upload.

  • @PoetOfTheSpheres Well no, I haven't seen his pay stub. :-) But the tone, cadence and vocal mannerism are totally Eubanks. Very common for guys (back then, at least) to work in radio, TV and miscellaneous voiceovers.

  • @RaineStudio You mean you think it sounds like him, but I never heard anyone factually state that.

  • @ejrigby This show ruled! Loved it.

  • OMG, that's Bob Eubanks (Newlywed Game) doing the VO.

  • FINAL COMMENT: Additionally, Season One SS is filled with simplified re-dos of countless Goldenberg themes and motifs from the "Evil" telefilms, with Gary Collins' ESP rush a reworking of Diana Hyland's witchy vortex from "Ritual of Evil." Goldenberg also scored the original NIGHT GALLERY telefilm, GHOST STORY, several made-for-TV chillers (including DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK), and classic themes/scores for COLUMBO, KOJAK, HARRY-O, RHODA, and countless others NOT available on CD...

  • This theme was heard in its magnificent entirety (where the piece goes after the SS opening ends defies description!) as Gene Barry playing publisher Glen Howard is contemplating suicide in a dark fantasy moment. The truncated, slightly sparer version prepared for SS and showcased here replaced David Shire's original SENSE theme, which lasted about four episodes... (TO BE CONTINUED!)

  • The amazing music you hear was composed by Billy Goldenberg for "One of the Girls in Research," an episode of the brilliant-yet-rarely-seen series THE NAME OF THE GAME. It has an interesting history. Billy (a friend of mine) derived the theme during his "Fear No Evil"/"Ritual of Evil" period, which is why it works so well for a supernatural investigator...
