aww man Contra they should put this on all game sytems i miss this game

. . . too good. Those Base stages are some of the best ever created.

Now I'd like to see someone do a no-death with the default gun.

used to love the double player mode..... reminded me of good old days.... God I used spent hours on this game....

For some reason, this game doesn't seem too hard. Contra's one of those classic NES games that I never got to have, but now I'm too lazy to get it.

CLASSIC!!!!!!! I still break this game out from time to time.

Me, I have the opposite problem. I didn't care for Nintendo video games or arcade games of the 80's when I was a kid. I played a little but was not nuts about them. Now in 2009, 20 or so years later, I am crazy about them because I'm a fan of retro culture from the 80's (and also 90's which I just hate to call "retro" since it was only 10 years ago when the 90's was ending. I like Contra and I've been playing it on a computer. So cool all the action..it's a Rambo inspired game LOL

Well some just don't treasure their childhood memories as much as they should, maybe they were abused or something. I wasn't even born when this game was released on the NES but I still find some enjoyment in it.
