My beautifull 7-years old westie Hamish has a rule-if it's mine don't try to steal it...don't even look at it!!!!

Yup, he's a westie alright. Other dog owners brag about how open and sharing their doggies are. Westies know better than to be pushovers like other dogs. They have real personality.

Not that a Westie isn't loving, kind and wonderful, mind you. They just have their own way of doing it.

I have to ask, where did you get your westie from? I have a seven year old almost identical to yours. I am almost convinced they could be related. haha even acts really similarlly.

LOL! My name is Jessica and I live in Kansas City I had a westie named Shayna for 14 yrs she was just like that you don't mess with there toys or be in there space. She also use to get mad when we tried to move her over when she was asleep. Sadly Shayna passed away this year from Cancer and I miss her everyday. Enjoy them while they are here!

@TesseractJ YES! that's what I've always said. My favourite way to descirbe them is to say that they are combo of cat and dog. They have their own mind and independence like a cat but then they have the loving goofy side of a dog. And that's why westies are the best dog for me, I need the little challenge. Not just doing the petting all day long.

@Hamishonline1979  I have to agree with both of you. My Westie has such a mild temperment, and I'm sure he believe's he is more human than canine. He is entitled to express the mood he is in and, like Hamish, he lets me know. I wouldn't want him any other way!
