Play Games Without Disc (Mac)

This video tutorial shows you how to play almost any game for Mac without the need to insert the disk into your computer.
(Please note that this tutorial does not apply to all Mac games for example The Sims 2 will not allow you to play w/o the actual disc) Tested with SimCity 4 on Leopard (OS 10.5.8) and on Snow Leopard (OS 10.6.2) known to work for Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard (previous versions unknown)

I've done everything, but when i open it, it says "(game name) cannot be run off the DVD. Please install the game on your hard drive.

@onipowerkill unfortunately this doesn't work for all games, as I mentioned in the description

ok so....what about if you don't have the disk to begin with, like one you downloaded?

@jmeinen1686 you can still create a disk image of a downloaded game – open Disk Utility, choose File > New Disk Image from Folder, choose the folder that your game is in (with all necessary files if required), click "Image" and choose where you want to save the disk image. Then just mount the disk image whenever you want to play the game!

when i play COD 4 after i mount the disc image, the game doesnt recognize the mounted image as the disc and it still wont let me.
