What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

I can't really think of any. And yeah scientology was created for profit but that makes it different to any other religion how?

@srspower Aye, just saying that I don't think it's right, since it's possible for cults to gain too much power while still being seen as a cult.

As for scientology, profit was basically the whole reason behind the religion. It's like a bunch of Ferengi wanted to make a religion or something XD

Tom Wolfe said it originally mate. But i would say scientology is actually a religion, mostly because their profit is no longer alive and they have great politcal power.

@srspower I would change that to "A cult is a religion with less followers" because some cults do have a decent bit of power (mostly thinking about scientology though).
