Two Different Worlds Collide [Ch 60]

[Joes POV]
I decided I would walk over to cassies house. Its kind of a long walk but I needed it to clear my head. I needed to find a way to make her believe me. She was everything. She was the first person I wanted to hear in the morning. She was the first person I wanted to see. Her smile made my day. Her touch sent shivers through me. Her kisses were breathtaking. She changed me. For the better. And I need her to keep going. Ive NEVER had anything like this before and to tell you the truth its kind of scary. All the feelings I have for her are so strong its unbelievable. And now that shes slowly walking away because of something stupid I did. I feel hopeless. In just two days I went from the highest I could feel to the lowest.

I got to her house and found someone walking around. Ive never seen him before. He looks about my age. Kind of scrawny. He walked up to cassies door and tried to look through the window. I walked up behind him and cleared my throat. He quickly turned around and looked shocked.
"may I help you?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"uh. No." he said nervously.
"you looking for someone?"
"um. Cassie"
"cassie?"
"and you are?" he asked me with attitude. I am so not up for this.
"her BOYFRIEND." He seemed somewhat shocked by my answer.
"oh. You must be Joe." he held out his hand for me to shake. I looked at him suspiciously. "Im an...old friend of cassie...from Colorado. Her best friend actually. I wanted to surprise her." bestfriend? She never mentioned a best friend to me.
"whats your name?" I asked still not shaking his hand.
"a-a-ALEX!. Yeah. Im alex." he flashed me a smile.
"well...a-a-alex...by the looks of it no one is home. So Ill make sure Ill tell her you came by." I said. And it was true it looked like no one was home. Cassie always had her blinds open when she was home.
"uh. Well I kinda wanted to talk to her before I left tomorrow morning." he seemed ok.
"well my friend is actually having a party tonight and Im brining cassie. You should stop by. Surprise her there." I cant believe Im telling a complete stranger to come to Ryans party. But he seemed legit.
[Too Legit to Quit! Hahah sorry its an inside joke lol]
"uh. Ok cool." I gave him my number and we went our separate ways. I decided to give cassie a call one more time.
"hey its cassie. Im not here so leave me a message and Ill get back to you ASAP. [beep]"
"hey baby. Its joe. I uh came by your house and you werent here. Look Im really sorry. If we could just talk. Call me please. Um ryan is having a party tonight. I would love for you to go. Ok. Bye. I love you."
And I clicked. It hurt so much to hang up. All I had to do was just wait.

[Cassies POV]
"look cass theres something you need to know." She said looking serious.
Oh gosh. There is only so much my heart can take.
"look I know joe kissed judy. He even told me himself." I could feel the tears beginning to form and the lump in my throat growing.
"yeah but did you actually listen to him?" I looked at her and stayed quiet. "he didnt kiss her. She did."
"oh come on sel. It takes two people to kiss."
"I heard judy talking" I felt nauseous at the sound of her name. "she said she did it on purpose. That joe didnt even want to kiss her but she made him. Its all in her plan cass. And if you just ignore joe forever judy is going to win. And you dont want that. You and joe are meant to be together. Youve changed him. Ive never seen him so happy since Ive met him. Its actually kind of cute if you ask me." she laughed.
I couldnt help but smile. I do love him. And what I feel for him is something Ive never felt before. But Im so scared to lose him. So scared to get hurt like I did before. It would crush me.
"all I ask is for you to hear him out. He looked so miserable yesterday."
"I dont know sel."
"look Ryan is having a party. How about you go with me and nick and you can try and talk to Joe there. Hes going. Give him a shot." she gave me a puppy dog face that I couldnt resist. No wonder nick always gave in to her.
"fine." I sighed.
"yay!" she said jumping out of her seat. "we can go over to my house and well get you ready there."
"ok. But I want to go home first." I said.
"fine with me. Meet me at my house at 6."
"okay."
"you need a ride?"
"no. I want to walk. Think things through ya know." she agreed and left. I finished my coffee and headed home. On the way there I got a call from joe. I wasnt ready yet. And then he left me a message.
I sighed and couldnt help but smile. Ill give him an A for effort.
cass Im home! I heard Michael from downstairs. hey are you going to Ryans party?
yeah.

Ok little by little guys. Little by little. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK! And I most likely wont post tomorrow cuz Im getting a small surgery on my knee. Scary stuff! But Ill post as soon as I can! Oh and BIG drama coming up! Seriously.
