@pedraderiu What, by making a comparison to the nazis? You do realise the Nazis corruption of science and eugenics is historical fact right? And it wasn't just the nazis but the british, the europeans and the americans aswell. In the creation/evolution debate both sides compare eachother to the nazis and that pisses me off coz neither comparison is justified, but in a video about academic freedom I think a comparison to the nazis is justified.

@ScootleRoyale I believe the wikipedia article about the Godwin Law is explanatory enough to point out the psychological reasons behind its invocation. There's no point in explaining it again to you, you just don't seem open nor willing to understand it. Your argument does not fit on the law's corolaries either as you seem to imply.

@pedraderiu Godwin's law only applies when people compare political ideologies and things to the nazis. Like when people say "Hitler was a christian, therefore christianity is evil" or "hitler was a vegetarian, therefore vegetarianism is bad". But that's not what I'm doing. I'm comparing the censorship of a dissenting view in science to the Nazis. If a comparison between surpression of ideas and free speech and the Nazis isn't justified then what is? lol.

@pedraderiu Dude wth? Ur having a go at me for making comparisons to an unpopular group and u just compared me to a flat earther! First of all the nazi eugenics stuff only made up 20 seconds out of a 16 minute video. It doesn't debunk all the stuff that comes after it. Second, I didn't use it as a 'counter-argument' to man-made climate change, I was simply comparing the politicized science of today with the politicized science of the 1930s to emphasize the importants of academic freedom.

Then along comes the Grand Solar Minimum that no one thinks is worth a mention. The Oceans start to cool, volcanic activity increases,increased so2 and cosmic rays cause increased cloud cover. In the blink of a eye the Planet starts to enter a new Maunder type minimum.Global cooling is now much more likely than warming.
