I love how these Fox personalities have no conceptual problem with Gov Arnold starting off with no political experience, but somehow spin the story as if Sen Franken, spells out the end of statesmanship. It's because theirs is a spin machine with no internal consistency and no code of ethics.

Amazing. You people have bastardised the english language to the extent that "american" (the language you seem to be communicating in) has become an exercise in redundancy. A neoconservative is deemed "socialist". Progressive is a negative term. A Communist is Facist, usw.. Learn English in order to write it, or at least look up a term before using it, dammit!! As to Rupert Murdock being a socialist - well I could go to church and quote the Bible at every turn and still be a Satanist, can't I?

Eventually, a viable alternative to the Democratic Party will emerge. I hope that isn't Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh. After Bush was elected, liberals went berserk. It was only after they calmed themselves that they won. I suspect it will be like that for conservatives.

Great points I had never thought of. Americans are largely intellectually lazy. They want everything to be quick and obvious. That's why so many use skin color, political party and religious affiliation to judge who's in and who's out.

Al Franken is outstanding. So far he has shown that he is very intelligent. My only regret is that I can't vote for him because I don't live in his state!
