If only Ohio state didn't lose to Texas and penn state that year with this team I would've definitely believe that Ohio state could've beaten USC in the national title game, the 2005 to 2006 team was the complete and best Ohio state team I've seen since I've been alive but of course the 2002 team was better :)

Mike Kudla was a stud at defensive end, but had they made him a linebacker, he would be an NFL starter today. He was the best player on that star-studded defense at OSU.

More defensive plays plz :) As exciting as the offense was that year, the defense was 100xs more exciting.

Ginn had some amazing speed.

Remember Smith's legacy and career would not have opened up had Justin Zwick not gotten injured at Iowa.

i miss this ohio state offense

Remember how whack our offense looked 2003-2004? Smith and Zwick were both developing and straight up bad really. OSU just relied on their defense. That's the normal cycle i think for the bucks: a season of great offense followed by two of rebuilding and relying on defense cuz tressel isn't going to open up the playbook until the offense is BETTER than the defense

Watching this game I almost feel like we've forgotten what an offense looks like...:(
I still feel like Antonio Pittman was one of the most underrated Buckeye backs ever. He had a unique blend of power and speed and he was a joy to watch.

The blocked XP run back was complete bullshit. I don't know what it is with refs in Ohio State-Illinois games but they're fucking blind. There was a clear push in the back on Houston at the 30 right in front of the refs not called.
