Back when comics were printed on Newsprint, colored by color dyes and the cost of a comic was only 25 cents, Captain Marvel of Marvel Comics was the Most Cosmic Superhero of all. Now with his return, I pay tribute with this simple slide show to my Hero.

  • The best hero... a great great hero, the number One.

  • @alfredo1967 He truly was ahead of his time. Simply the best.

  • Dead avengers is coming out soon, with cap in it, so just maybe, their going to keep him around this time.

  • @jmen4ever I gave up after the crap they pulled with the Mini Series. At any rate, He sure is popping up a lot be it toys TV series and quest star appearances.

  • Great retrospective! I've owned nearly all of these issues until they were stolen during a past move! Now I'll have to track down the Marvel Masterworks Collections that featured these issues! Thanks for posting these legendary covers!

  • @Elric33239 Stolen?! Man, that sucks, but on the other hand, it would be fun to hunt down the books again.

  • Captain Marvel was the Best

  • Still my favorite space hero the Kree warrior Captain Marvel! Even though his life was cut short by cancer, he had some of most coolest adventures I've ever read. He was fearless, brave, a natural leader, strong willed and moved quick with paranormal reflexes. But alas he is just a memory now, but after seeing this video you made using comic book covers and a great choice of background music, I thought perhaps one day someone will make a live action movie about him! Maybe a trilogy.

  • @godoftakedown Actually the Gene Colan spoof is from Marvel Superheroes #13 ("Where Stomps the Scent-Ry") and Captain Marvel #1 (or "Out of the Holocaust --HOOO-BOY!"). I know because they're also in The Essential Captain Marvel Volume 1 along with Colan's pencil art from MSH #13 and a few of Gil Kane's pin-ups. Now I've got to save up for Captain Marvel Masterworks Volume 3 in case there's no Essentials Vol. 2!

  • @LVStud71 I've just received my Barnes & Noble order for The Essential Captain Marvel Volume 1! It reprints Marvel Superheroes #12 & 13 and Captain Marvel #1-21! It's printed in B & W, not color, but it cost $5.99 used. Interested parties can order a copy at their website.

  • The original was better. Got any of the Fawcett publications version?

  • im still waiting on captain marvel the movie.
