Fire in Parnitha - airplane view 1

Capture from airplane at 28 June 2007 17:50. The fire started yesterday 27/6/2007 at a place that was far from the forests and will burn the "protected" National Wild Life Park of Attica for 4 days. Below this north edge of the smoke cloud we see Kalamos. We travel south through the width of the smoke cloud which must be at least 20 kilometers wide at this phase. The smoke cloud traveled as far as to coasts of Turkey, 350km distance. A total environmental disaster for our city of Athens in Greece, as ALL THE OTHER Wild Life, Green and Forests near Athens had the same fortune.
