Aliens are verifiable. We could theoretically search every planet in the universe to check if they exist. "God" is not verifiable because we cannot ever check to see if "God" exists. Where is "God"? What does "God" look like? These are both things that we need to know in order to verify the claim that "God" exists. However "God" is just as unverifiable as the claim that "X is purely evil" or "I do not exist". I recommend reading A.J. Ayer and Karl Popper for more information on this subject.
