You have to realize that Greg Graffin (the singer) was 15 at the time he wrote the song. He was just an angry teenager, and was getting sick of tv evangelism and wrote a song about it. You think the man who wrote this song is stupid? Ah, yes that explains very well why he is teaching evolutionary biology at UCLA to this day.
