Very good recording, just a touch slow for me...

we're going to perform this marvel with just a choir of 8 singers....
and yes its extremely beautiful plus extremely difficult, non chorists will never know what breath control is required ;)
still is a SUBLIME piece, a real marvel of modern music ;)

If I had heard this version first instead of the one I have with a boy soprano, I might have like this song much better the first time I heard it. This song first introduced me to the wonderful world of Arvo Part and my life will never be the same again.

It is a very difficult piece, I hope I'll have a chance to hear a perfect performance one day. This one is quite good, but still has quite a bit of glitches. Still, a good job!

This is the best version I've ever heard.

One of my favorites as well. I'm so glad to find it here!

Beautiful

What can one say, really, with music like this, so beautifully performed... Thanks for posting and thanks to YouTube for making this available to us all. Just wonderful.

I took part in this recording. It was a marathon in many ways. There were two groups of students, us from Boston U and another group, along with regular members, singing in Soulliac, France, soooo hot, and Mr Shaw was quite a task master. This piece alone is like a marathon where every footstep has to be silent. Then I heard the recording, and realised what a gift the whole experience had been.
