  • @Zaiorqlo Al contrario.

  • @Englishkin I mostly agree with you but the end of the Middle Ages is some where between the 1350's to 1450's. We must also remember because various nations had a certain advantage of disadvantage, the spark for the renaissance ignited at different times. Spain's renaissance probably began sometime around the marriages of the Catholic Monarchs. My theory is the more south and more contact with southern and eastern civilisations the Middle Ages began a lot sooner.

    Good Day.

  • @Englishkin Ohh, now I get your point. but I have to disagree. The renaissance is certainly the continuation of the middle ages, and they shared many characteristics. But I consider it as the modern age.

But I agree that this is relative. History is a transition. You don´t go to bed in the middle ages and wake up in the renaissance, of course.

  • it reminds me Civilzation 4

  • @1999521 I agree that the music is Renaissance. My point is that the Renaissance is within the Middle Ages.

To me, the distinction isn't all that important. But, to those making the distinction, I wouldn't declare that something is not Medieval because it's in the Renaissance. It's just "Late Medieval".

Since "modern" means anything current; I wonder what our Modern Age will be called as it becomes historical? Post-Modern won't work since, "modern" will still be the present.
