@PianoXfan1 Afghans deserve a shot at peace. They are at a nexus of influence. In the 60s and 70s, Afghanistan was actually on the hippy world tour if you will. A beautiful country, and at that time, they were relatively moderate. Flourishing post secondary institutions, arts, even a very strong export trade of textiles and fruits. Afghans are not going to get peace without help, as too many other parties (al'Qaeda, Pakistan, etc.) are were meddling in Afghanistan's affairs.

@PBVG101 Planting trees if I remember correctly. They are trying hard to rebuild and beautify their city (a hard up hill fight). It takes years between visits to notice the difference, but I can say, between '07 and '09 there are big changes... I can just imagine the changes now.

Have to say tho, for my own part, them digging on the side of the road made me a bit nervous. All those fresh mounds of dirt.

My comments are not in any way shape or form disrespect the soldiers so don't take it that way. I support every Canadian soldier who has ever served and God bless them for it. I just hate the fact so many have died for these fucking asshole Afgans.

I can't believe the government still has Canadians there... How many died to 'crush the forces of evil and help a repressed people' I saw fuck the people... Way too many Canadian Heroes have died so far and for what? To protect Canada? Bullshit... Nobody is attacking Canada. We are apparently there to help those people but whats the point? From what I read in the paper and see on the news our Canadian Soldiers are just training Afgans now and nothing else. Is this true? If so do you even support that? As a Canadian I'm completely against our heroes even being in that shit hole but to aid them in training? Does anyone in our government learn from history? The Americans aided, trained, helped iraq when they fought the Russians and then they turned on the Americans and used their weapons against them. Same thing will happen. Total BS
