Fighter Fling 2003 - Part 3 of 5

The annual Tomcat community ball was known as "Fighter Fling". Starting in 1989, the best video from all the squadrons was compiled into a short movie and played at the ball. I had the privilege of making the final two videos, for Fighter Fling 2003 and 2004. This is part 3 of 5 for the 2003 video, uploaded straight from the original.

Love the "Bombcat" footage. The F14 could carry a much higher weight that other carrier launched fighter/bomber aircraft. Bunker busters, along with JDAM or laser guidance made it the greatest carrier based bomber/fighter ever and for the forseeable future. Everyone complains about the F14 radar signature, too me, I say, if you're a F14, who cares? Whatever you have bring it on, and I'll be right here waiting, just keep that refuel tanker on standby.

It's a terrible thing that the government took the Tomcat out of the inventory when they did. It had no match in the sky
