  • @klined Better off on PBS for me, cuz I don't have cable.

  • It doesn't matter what race u are for how long it takes to cook it depends how much u r cooking!

  • @klined They don't really do cooking shows anymore. Just reality chef cook off garbage.

  • @kimjshow1 Haha.. Do you have a big family? I come from a big family and it took about 45 mins to an hour (1 1/2 hr the most) to cook rice for the family.

  • @haexkae42008 Well, depending on how many cups of rice you have to make, it will take about 15 mins to an hour (or longer). Now, if you're talking about 1-4 cups of rice, of course, it will take ~15- 30 minutes to cook it. And, it also depends on what kind of rice it is. Not all rice cooked about the same time, so remember that too. And, it also depends on the person who cooks it - whether or not the person knows how to cook rice (sounds/looks easy but it is hard for some people).

  • Washing the rice is a good thing (even though people say that it takes away the great taste - I tried not washing it a couple of times (I was lazy at those times) and it didn't taste great to me). You guys have to remember that we wash them because we consider the rice to be dirty and sometimes you might find some pebbles with them. You don't know where these rice have been and what process it took to get them where they are now. I rather eat clean rice then who knows what's in my rice.

  • people, rice cooker is an invention from the 1950s. Once it got caught on, it was a must have for every asian family (unless u do not have access to electricity). However, there are still europeans are still doing rice over a stove. But, why?

  • im spanish and it takes us like two hours to cook rice how did this guy finish in 3 minutes

  • @realone5o4 ME TOO MY RICE COOKS IN 15-20 MINS AND LOOKS BETTER, I ALWAYS USE BASMATI RICE (THAI FRAGRENT RICE) AND I BRING IT TOO A BOIL, AS SOON AS IT BOILS I STIR IT, COVER IT, PUT HEAT ON LOW AND DONT TOUCH IT FOR 15-20 MINS, ONCE DONE I CHECK IT AND COVER IT BACK UP (OFF HEAT) AND LET IT SIT UNTIL I SERVE IT UP.. I THINK ALL THESE RECIPES FOR RICE THAT TAKES 45-60 MINS IS BOGUS LOL THERES ALOT OF THEM TOO AND THE FINGER TECHNIQUE WORKS!
