Levi Kreis Lyrics w/ Blog: "Love In Another Light"

Blog: Written in the early morning after hours at the bar. This particular morning, I guess I felt the futility of old habits. It's tough to say much more than the actual lyrics do; they are pretty candid. My opinions about sex, love, and relationships are a product of my irresponsible past. I eventually became more curious about the value of my body, the value of my emotions, and an autonomous self. Let's be honest, in the gay world, we say that indiscriminate encounters are our right! We fight for our grindr, and our manhunt. We celebrate it, demand it, market it, and don't you dare judge us for it! No judgement here. Every person is different, and everyone has a unique experience of it. For me, it kept me in an emotional adolescence. I wasn't developing a sensitivity to how that behavior devalues me, reducing me to a few parts, and a few hours commitment. My journey towards discovering love in another light was to discover self love: requiring more from my life, requiring more from my choices, and requiring more from others.

it's simply perfect.. it's like standing in front of the mirror..the words, the music.. the strenght ..the pain.. the desire to change point of view.. not only for those who lived through that love.. but for alls who want to love with the simple purpose of loving someone and just before love themselves.... Levi, every time I hear this song, I think the same things you said above. I turned 40 in 2010 and I'm so ready to move into true LOVE... but it's so hard! Finding someone in this world is harder than ever before, in the world of Grinder/Manhunt/etc. ... it's so much easier to find quick and easy instead of long and meaningful. Thank you for this awesome song.
