My 2011 Camaro SS with Borla S-Type cat back, Kooks long tube headers with catted mid pipes and Rotofab CAI.

Thought I'd put this out there for those that are curious about what this setup sounds like... inside and outside.

And no, the launch controlled launch was NOT intended to be a burnout... I shut it down quickly on purpose. I'm well aware that by most burnout standards, that would've been a weak one anyway. :)

My passenger shall remain nameless.

  • @FXSwissTrader not lowered, stock height there, though I may lower it at some point.  Tint is 35% on side windows and 20% on the rear window.

  • @Flykickss The L99s (autos) do not have the launch control feature, it's only on the LS3/manual. Your version of launch control would be mashing the gas :)

  • My buddy has flow aster 40's and they sound really good.

  • I don't like the way it sounds at idle. Sounds good with revs though. Maybe it's just the sound on my iPhone.

  • Nice color scheme you have on your Camaro. I got the Victory Red/black stripes. There was this aqua blue/black stripes that I was about to get but opted for the red one because it was a 2SS, came with the better package.

  • Sounds good at WOT and not annoying when going cruising speeds. I'm looking at this very same setup in mine. I already have the S-type, just waiting to muster the courage to void the warranty and get LT's and a tune.

  • I have a 2011 SS L99 w/ground effects, blacked out like yours. How did you decide on Borla S-Type vs. ATAK or even Corsa, Cherry Bomb, Thunders, etc? Did you just play it safe and went with the more OEM exhuast upgrade via Chevy? Thanks in advance.
