This R1200GS Tankbag from Touratech is optimally formed to fit the unique slope of the tank of both the standard GS and GS Adventure. This tankbag will not shift from side to side like other bags. All Touratech bags are hand-made in the black forest region of Germany by Kahedo. The two side bags are positioned to ensure clearance for your horn and turn signal switches when parking the motorcycle or in a full-lock turn. An elastic cord is attached at the right which can be used to secure gloves should you happen to be at a border crossing or gas station. This tank bag also comes with a third outer pocket in the front, a document compartment with a separate credit card bag in the lid, and waterproof zippers. As with all Touratech tank bags, the removable map holder is big enough to fit a whole 8.5 x 11 sheet. Add our optional rain-cover or waterproof inner-bags and you'll be ready for any conditions.

  • @SinkorSwim1000 How can I give a correct answer since I don't know the amount of book a college student in your place has?

However, I won't be much comfortable with the tank bag as you can not use it as a backpack while in the college.

In term of Space, I think we can put three large Letter/A4 book inside without much problem.

It's really matter of what you'll carry with you.

Perhaps a top case might be a better choice.

    Regards

  • I bought one five months ago for a 20'000km trip.

It was very nice to have this as it let me have an easy access to the stuff you very often need (spare gloves, camera).

It's even better if you fill it to the top with soft stuff. It then protects your body against wind.

Another good stuff when it's full is that you can use it like a support for your "chest".

Very nice, usefull and also comfortable.

I can just mention that the rear pocket is not very easy to open because of the handler.
