Played with Ibanez RGA42 and recorded with PODxt.

First video with my new Ibanez RGA42. Haven't played guitar so much lately but I realized I haven't uploaded anything for quite long time so here is one new video. Sloppy playing, I know, but this is all I can do now. This is finnish band called Kotiteollisuus and song is "+-0", hope you enjoy!

  • How's the pickups on your guitar?? are they good compared, to ex. esp ltd ex260 pickups? :)

    Thinking alot on buying it!

  • I like these pickups but in EC200-QM they were little bit better in my opinion. Difference is not so huge and when they are so different type of guitars maybe pickups are very similar, don't know :)

  • I don't quite get it... in the description it says "played and recorded with ESP EC-200QM" but you did the video with your Ibanez... so it's not the Ibanez we hear. When do you upload something with this particular guitar?

  • Haha, thanks you noticed that. I don't know why I have typed ESP there. I have typed that in so many videos it came automatically I guess.

This is played with Ibanez of course as you can see and hear :)

  • Hey,

I was just wondering, I've been playing guitar about 4 years now aha,

but is this a good guitar for it's price?

im after a cheap-ish range guitar for practice etc

    Thanks :) x

  • @FrozenBlizzard

I have a question regarding the scoop switch of the RGA42 and the pickups...maybe you can help? :)

Did you try the switch with other pickups than the LZ3's?

Would like to know if it still works good...

    Greetings!

  • @DJParkesie959II i think its drop C#

  • cool begginning man..and the rest also good

  • do you have problems with the volume pot ?

  • @mFreak114: From what he's playing, I'm guessing it's either Drop D or Drop C

  • he uses PODxt effects to get that heavy sound. you wont get that sound with your aplifiers distortion

  • @dalondoner but i dont really like that high chimy like clean soundidng stuff, i like it to sound more bassy and kinda i guess like an older acoustic w/out the super prounounced highs

  • @d4nzig4life NEG! i think youll find cutting your mids is the exact wrong thing to do for clean playing. its very very much for metal. for cleans u want more noted top tones using the mids quite like you use bass for distorted tones.

  • it cuts the mids and it boosts treble and bass, so its a fatter sound, i prefer it like that with a clean setting cause it can get a little muddy if you use it with too much distortion and bass from an amp
