After watching a young man on a "Razor"-type scooter go sprawling in middle of the street during our Independence Day parade here when the front wheel hit a rather small hole in the pavment, I think I'd choose the larger wheels of the Strida, even if it weighs a bit more.

i think strida will be more usefull in road, because the body is totally and really same with normal bike, but a-bike it's like otopet because the wheels is so small and the speed is more slowly tha strida. however, the basic function from the bike is make it easy as transportation and make it time be more effective. :)

Al parecer es mas comoda la bicicleta Strida ya que A-bike tiene problemas con los lomos o con las subidas por el tamaño des sus ruedas, en cambio Strida se asemeja mas a una bicicleta convencional... Por ahora me quedo con Strida

wow things used to be so much cheaper
The advantage of the Strida is it rolls when folded - so you never have to carry it, also the efficient belt drive means no oil or grease. Dahon make great bikes and one day they will add these features too.

@SatanSucks .. Really ? ..... I've seen Dahons Chain protector - like were used to use on kids bikes and BMX bikes about 20 yrs ago. But not seen belt drive (at least not on production bikes). Making Dahon bikes (and the many look-a-likes) 'roll when folded', would be much easier if the wheels came together when folded, and they had a suitable handle to hold.
