The Lord did great things in the lives of the children who attended the 2009 Vacation Bible School at Open Door Church in El Paso, TX. This year's theme was Camp E.D.G.E. by Cokesbury, and the children that attended ranged from Pre-K to Middle School. The Children learned about 1. God's faithful presence to be with them, like He was with Joshua when he crossed the Jordan River; 2. God's Guidance in leading them like He did for the 3 Magi who saw Jesus in Bethlehem; 3. Christ is the Teacher, the One who teaches them how to live pleasing to God, 4. God's love for them, and how they should love others as Christ loved them; and lastly 5. God sends them, and their calling to Go take the gospel of Jesus Christ to every place! The children were all blessed! Thanks to all the teachers who decorated and served these children in Music, Drama, Crafts, Science Experiments, Recreation, and Snacks! Thanks also for all the adults and parents who attended and helped with cooking! God bless you all! Glory be to the Lord Jesus Christ for all that He did in all of us!
