Chrissie was in several bands before The Pretenders and worked with the likes of Sid vicious, Topper Headon, Mick Jones and Steve Strange to name but a few.
Chrissie was part of the punk scene in as much as she knew almost all the big hitters involved, she worked for Malcolm McClaren and was apparently fired for trying to teach John Rotten guitar chords.
It is also claimed that it was chrissie who gave Sid Vicious his trademark padlock neckless (Not Nancy Spungen, as is portrayed in the film "Sid & Nancy).

The real thing. What a great band the Pretenders were, especially this original line up. A great song, a great voice and a performance which greatly improves on the original (and I'm a big Kinks fan). Chrissie is what every other female rocker aspires to be. The real thing.
