George Galloway talks to Maggie Thatcher's biographer Iain Dale.

To summarise this in his own words, Dale (born in 1962) became a Conservative at the age of 17 after hearing a speech made by the iron lady.

Dale defends Thatcher for her policies by blaming on the trade unions for the decline of the economy and manufacturing industry.

The ironic thing is that the writer is gay despite the fact that Thatcher passed Local Government Act 1988 (or Section 28 better known as) which stated that a local authority "shall not intentionally promote homosexuality or publish material with the intention of promoting homosexuality".

  • When Maggie dies, can someone stick a wooden stake in her heart just to make sure she never comes back or is reincarnated.

  • Being an "apologist" just means you're defending somebody or saying they did nothing wrong. Apologist and apologising are not the same thing.

  • @LibnanGR BIG DIFFERENCE!!! When you defend someone you're saying they did nothing wrong.

When you apologise for someone you're saying they did something wrong and that they're sorry.

  • I'm not an apologist for Margaret Thatcher, I defend her.

What is the difference? They literally are the same thing.

  • Oh Iain look what camerons doing now hahahaha

  • God Bless Margaret Thatcher

  • George Galloway is such a tosser.

  • Margaret Thatcher Is A War Criminal And Should Stand Trial For Her Orders Against The People Of Eire!

Remember Volunteer Bobby Sands MP (Fermanagh & South Tyrone)

  • @Waynes150 im sorry being but twelve im at a severe disadvantage when discussing the prime ministers of the past

  • @socialist123 They certainly were closet Tories under Blair/Brown, but if you remember back to the early 1980's under Michael Foots leadership, he represented everything Thatcher did not represent. I ask, surely the Falklands war alone did not save Thatchers first term in office? Foot was actually leading the polls for some while until then, yet threw it away! Why did the people not act then and vote in a true Socialist?
