@joachimmufuckinessig No they were playbacking but John was just goofing around by sometimes not even moving his mouth at the right time,

@joachimmufuckinessig they played along with the original studio tape. They made it look like they were playing live without a tape but some mistakes reveeled it.

I see and hear Paul singing along to his own vocal tracks. This performance was a mix between live and lip-syncing to the records. many of the nuances in the music is on the recorded versions. The Beatles appear to be playing along to the recorded songs. I have this on audio, and I still hear the subtle vocal-syncing. Especially Paul who does a sloppy job of it for the cameras.
