1:26 Wow, George Lucas actually had himself in mind to play Luke Skywalker...
-
@ExpandedBooks Actually... All that was said here has been shown in other documentaries, behind the scenes, and so on. There was nothing new to this sneakpreview then what I've seen before. Except Luke's first name.

I bought the hardcover version of the book when it came out and when I finally had time to read it some years afterwards I enjoyed it tremendously.
I heartily recommend it to anyone interested in Star Wars!

It is quite a revelation to see/hear in detail how some go about creating, mutating, percollating, sublimating, anticipating, debating and undebating, progressing, caressing, un and unlessing a work of art into symbolic fictional fact as an act of observational realizational intellect one can sometimes understand, often barely recollect it is quite a revelation.

@VitoPossilipo What's supposed to be so great about Star Wars? Seriously? Unforgettable characters, one of the best soundtracks ever made, great visual design (and some effects are still awesome today), stunning sound design from genius Ben Burtt... ligthsabers, X-wings, THE FORCE... so many things... and all from a movie from 1977!

-
@TRUMPER007 But there can also be clever fun and escapism.
-
@VitoPossilipo - It's called having fun and pure escapism!
I'd like to listen to the interviews if they were recorded interviews. Are you gong to make an audio version of this book?

The publisher, Del Rey, does not have an audio version of this book, mainly because it is so picture-heavy. It would be very hard to capture all the information in audio format only. This is a coffee table book which is chock full of never before seen behind the scenes images, artwork, concept drawings, costume designs and more. It really is one you need to look at as well as read the text.
