You are mostly correct....Dark earth stuff makes you sound unbalanced. Anything that might occur will be based on some unsubstantiated beliefs. Based on what archeology tells us about the Mayans...I'd say that it was a countdown till our alien liberators come and free us from the unenlightened masses. The only thing that will awaken these fools on this planet is a genuine visit from a godlike being or beings. If JESUS came tomorrow...most christians would shit their pants for being sinners..

Using the Aztec culture as an analogy for evaluating the Maya was a very poor move imho. 2012 is not about the world ending - as you say. It's about a pivotal point in the development of consciousness; its about a transformational 'quantum leap' in our individual and collective evolution. But it's not a "rational" view we need Mike - imho, it's a "trans-rational" view (including but transcending reason), free of the narcissistic, new-age cotton candy and the fear based survival manuals! Namaste.
