Jeff Moenich of sixstringobsession.com has a special guest to show us how to repair a broken neck on an inexpensive guitar. His father, Roger, a master carpenter with 57 years experience, expertly guides us through the steps:

1. Loosen the strings
2. Tap a pilot hole on the neck.
3. Drill into the neck with a bit which will allow the wood screw to easily pass through the hole.
4. Drill into the same hole with a countersink bit to allow the screw head to be flush with the surface.
5. Drill into the same hole with thinner diameter bit. This allows the threads of the screw to pull the endplate of the body tight to the neck.
6. Apply wood glue to the side of the neck and the body.
7. Screw the screw in and wipe off excess glue with a damp paper towel.
8. Allow to dry 24 hours and then tune it up!

Cuation: if you are not experienced with wood working or you have an expensive guitar, I would suggest letting a pro do the job!
