Israel is a wonderful country with a value system much closer to that of the U.S.A than its neighbors. Israel benefits from its relationship with the U.S. but the U.S. uses Israel for its purposes. Just read up on your Wikileaks for the evidence.

I feel real sorry for the thousands of Palestinians being kept behind barbed wire by their Arab brethren in Lebanon. That must really hurt.

@DrDavidNeiman Israel is a theocratic hell hole with segregated buses, attacks on orthodox women who leave to date other men, no legal recognition of inter-religious marriage, a highly religious military with firebrand rabbi's creating an atmosphere not of a professional western army but a religious mob. Not to mention a state that is racist.

So no Israel is nothing like the US a truly secular WESTERN nation, you have more in common with your arab semitic brethren then you let on.

@ImaginedWriter I am a secular woman who has lived in Israel. It is a wonderful place that has unfortunately lived under constant pressure and attacks. It is truly amazing what they have accomplished given the climate in the neighborhood.

@DrDavidNeiman I suggest you type into the youtube search box "The Battle for Israel's Soul - Unreported World - 2/3" where a former orthodox woman tells of being beaten up by hired thugs, thugs hired by members of her former Haredi community. There are streets in Israel where gentiles may not walk without fear of being abused both physically and verbally.

I have a low opinion of both Jews and Muslims in the middle east from experience not out of ignorance. I feel sorry for the hellenised jews.

@DrDavidNeiman The anecdotal evidence presents part of a larger body of evidence, but I thought it best to show a specific case with a specific Israeli woman so it could not be denied as it usually is by Pro Israeli types who spout the we're just like you mantra.

Furthermore it is not prejudice for I have not pre-judged. It is after much experience that I give my judgement, both Israel and the wider middle east are an unfortunate reality on the borders of the Western world.

@ImaginedWriter Do you have any evidence for the non existence of Yahweh or Abraham? compared i have more then enough evidence besides what theory's made by humans like the big bang theory? that has no evidence of its existence a fictional made movie of how it supposedly happened billions of years ago, fulfillment of prophecies from the bible outweighs these theory's that supposedly happened alone its easier for us to say what happened before our existence not knowing then the future witnessing

@DrDavidNeiman It isn't particularly amazing, many countries with a giant investment stream and access to high technology do very well. S. Korea after the Korean war was poorer than Bangladesh, today it is an OECD advanced economy. And it has to face a highly skilled and versatile northern neighbour and potentially China as well instead of incompetent largely third world arabs, with no concept of proper logistics, military discipline or battle tactics. Israel overplays her weakness to the arabs.

@JIMY45GR The same can be said for the gypsies who are still to this day treated like crap. They were recently expelled from France. But I have noticed their annihilation during the holocaust is played down by Jewish groups who seek to monetise the holocaust as well as gain political capital for it.

This is not an indictment against all Jews but a certain brand who feel they are the only victims in history which is false and insulting to other victims who happen not to be Jewish.
