That's true. Tomlin is a head above the rest. And you're right, money pays bills. I guess if I don't have anything nice to say, maybe I just shouldn't say anything at all. Sorry.
@jnlhansonian Musicians, roadies, and concert hall owners have families to feed. Tomlin's band are superlative performers and prolific songwriters. That's worth something. Money pays the bills, but it's not the mission statement.
I play in a church with a smaller stage and not-so-bright lights. Before playing, we pray to glorify God and touch people with music. Every time.
@jnlhansonian The works-versus-faith question has been debated since before the Reformation, so I doubt we'll resolve it here. You are correct - James said faith without works is dead. But faith and the decision to become a child of God comes first. I call it "Be" versus "Do". What we do comes from who we are, not the other way around.
Jesus came back from the wilderness and taught repentance. The disciples' works came later. Some disciples are slower on the path than others.
Fist of Nockels has a voice like no other. What a gift God has given her!

@jnlhansonian Don't ask me...Im not the one who's approval you should seek. Pray and ask God about it if you're sincere.
