Thanks Marc! If you notice the first few strikes I exhale on contact and then inhale to recover my form as the fist goes out. That's how we were taught by Mikhail in Moscow. If you see the first few strikes that's what I was doing. But then Vlad showed me another way and asked me to burst breath all the time (shallow breaths and not past the chest level). I guess it was mostly a breathing exercise to focus more on the breath than on the fear... but perhaps it's another way to do it. I will ask

@CloudsBeyond and your username did not help. systema teaches trust, which in your reference, you are relying we do not have any. on the streets, anything is free game, as well as untrained. and did I mention the neck chop I know will put you out for a long while? that is a pressure point, but in a knife fight, you will know how to disarm and defeat. and guess what, this happened to me. 4 guys got jealous because their crush dated me, so i visited the hospital to pay their bills.

Systema translated in Japanese is BULLSHITSU! Systema is a joke and not practical for the streets! It was designed to fleece very gullible & naive Americans & Europeans out of money. If the punches above really work & Porkys (Mikhails) deadly punches , get in UFC you'll KO everyone and earn lots of money!!! Systema, Dillman's Pressure Points , etc are for very gullible IDIOTS - sadly there are lots of them around!

@ktgabenlil thank you. i have heard of mr.lee, and would be most interested to hear of your classes with him. i live in portland, OR, and though there are lots of martial arts schools here, for some reason systema is very poorly represented. one hopes this will change before i am an old geezer.

@kalevraa We have Mr. Kwan Lee here in Seattle (sorry, didn't mean to rub it in) and I'll be starting his class next month. I've seen him in alot of the systema vids here on youtube and he was certified in Russia by Vasiliev and Ryabko so I'm stoked!!! Never been so excited to get my ass kicked! I'll write back and tell you how it goes.
