I wish I had a horse as "badly bred' as Seattle Slew. His dam, My Charmer, was probably a double-copy x-factor carrier.

Great shot of Slew when Karen's talking @ 1.38. In the b/g Slew gives a big grunt and goes *flump* in the straw as his big butt hits the ground LOL.

I'm riding Seattle Slew's grand son in dressage, he is one of the most talanted horses I ever worked with.

I love it that the criticism of Slew after the Derby sounded so much like the early criticisms of Zenyatta -- the horses in the Derby were just a bunch of "deadbeats". He couldn't beat quality horses. Even after the Triple Crown wins, still, he was "dissed" by Andy Beyer. His best race was to be the 1978 Jockey Club Gold Cup he lost to Exceller. Check it out on YouTube. A thriller, and it was the race where he silenced his critics, even though he lost!

I own his grandson Majestic Design.
He raced as a two and three year old and won 25,000 he did pretty good. He is not retired as a dressage horse:)
He is in training for 1 level,he just turned 5.He is doing amazing.
