Getting hit with a .308 doesn't guarantee a kill. The problem with snipers is that they're useless for close quarters combat, and need a good amount of time to compensate for drop, wind, movement, then line up their shot and take it.

well the video is useful to decide at which distance one should consider bulletdrop while aiming

but i think kills at that distance are impractical
