Kingdom Hearts II - The Pride Lands 1 Part 5

Sora, Donald and Goofy hurry to the peak of Pride Rock and see Simba and Scar engaged in the dance of death. Donald wants to help, but Sora holds him back. The two slash each other, and Scar knocks Simba aside then leaps on him, but Simba flips him over and off the cliff. Simba looks over the cliff to see him fall, and Sora is glad to see Simba's okay. But then Pete comes in and tells them it's not over, and they turn back to see Scar clawing his way back up the cliff. All the darkness in his heart turned him into a Heartless (as if he wasn't already?), and the fight has only begun.

This is the fight I have been waiting for ever since I started...There's one thing I can say about this fight: it moves very fast. Scar is extremely fast, and attacks with the elements. When he leaps onto you, use "Counter" to get him off before he can do more damage. When he gets fire around him, wait until he leaps into the air and intercept him. If there is thunder, wait for him to slow down, then attack. Twice in the fight, his anger will peak. Get away from him when you hear that, then be ready to use your Dash ability to move in a circle around him when he tries to ram you with the darkness strike. You cannot hurt him when he is doing this, so just avoid it. Simba's limit is quite effective against him, and since it's the only one Sora can use here, I would use it. Keep a steady pace of attack and defense to defeat Scar and get a bonus level-up.

Bonus Level-Up 27:
Sora - Maximum MP Increased (+10, new total 110)
Donald - Fire Boost (Ability, 3 AP)
Goofy - Maximum HP Increased (+5, new total 65)
Simba - Maximum HP Increased (+40, new total 90)

Scar slowly walks toward them, but the dark spirit in him vanishes and he dies.

The lionesses, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Timon and Pumbaa all look on as Simba walks to the edge of Pride Rock and roars into the sky, claiming his place as the rightful king. The lionesses roar back to their new king. The spirit of Mufasa appears to Simba, and grants his blessings. The power of the spirit also allows Sora to open the gate (with his tail, no less). Timon asks what just happened, and Sora tells them they need to go. Pumbaa wants to tell Simba, but Goofy says it's fine cause he's busy. Timon realizes that since Simba is king now, he'll be really busy and probably forget about them, but Sora tells them that they have Hakuna Matata. Timon is worried that Simba won't tell anyone who they are, and thinks that Pumbaa will be turned into a pig roast. Donald jokes that's MR. Pig Roast, and Pumbaa runs off scared as Sora says you can never forget your best friends. Sora is also given a Fire Element (Fire is upgraded into Fira, 10 MP. When a spell is upgraded, its attack is more powerful, but the MP cost does not change.)

Before moving on though, this is a recommendation. If you have done everything possible so far, you should have the Lucky Ring and Goofy's Lucky Lucky ability. Equip both of these, then fight the Shamans in the Jungle, Wastelands and Valley until one of them drops the Shaman's Relic (Attack 4, Magic 5, MP Rage). This is the best weapon for Donald right now and greatly surpasses his current weapon.

I think Scar should have been changed to look sort of like a heartless when he climbs back up.

But still awesome game!

I wouldn't see any need for that because he already was heartless the whole movie...yes, I do take it to heart that seriously.

When i got to this fight i actaully shouted "IT'S PAYBACK TIME SCAR!!!!"

this was because when i forst saw the Lion King Movie at 3 years old Scar scared me.
