@jdmgamer1 It really isn't as dangerous as you make it out to be. I've never had an accident in the 50+ times I've done this. I've tested just about every variable there is.
An experienced cook would know what he's doing and what to look for.

You don't need Karo Syrup or Water, mix 3 parts Pottasium Nitrate to 2 parts sugar and heat it while stirring until it carmalizes or turns brown and kinda peanutbutter like. Let harden and light...

You have your proportions all messed up...your supposed to go 3:2 Pottasium Nitrate:Sugar. Take a basic chemistry class!

u should use a wooden or silicon spatula, metal on metal can cause sparks which can ignite the r candy. be careful.

Karo Syrup is also Corn syrup which ya can get from an store and i got the powder from ebay for like 10 bucks
