Asian film stars and entertainers gathered in Hong Kong once again for the 2009 Asian Film Awards at the Exhibition and Convention Centre. As well as the usual 13 awards to be handed out, the "Outstanding Contribution to Asian Cinema" and the "Edward Yang New Talent" awards were also bestowed.

Also making appearances were Hollywood heavyweights Oliver Stone and William Hurt. Stone was in town to promote his biopic on former US President George Bush in 'Dubya', while Hurt had his 'Yellow Handkerchief'.

In this video, take a look at which of your Asian thespians attended the star-studded event via the obligatory red carpet.

  • @TIE47v But the US is already made up of many cultures - Asians, Whites, Blacks, Latinas.. it's the melting pot :)

  • The executive director is so ugly....

  • The weird thing is - Asian countries all have a longer history than US, in terms of culture. But people in Asian seem to be more open minded in terms of absorbing things from different culture. Whereas US, despite being a relatively new nation with 200 years history, their people seem to be less willingly to learn from other culture.

Take language for example, a lot of Asians today can speak more than at least one language. How many Americans are capable of that?

  • Who want to do online Japanese or Chinese lesson?

  • @kappamiky yeah, coz either they've lived oversea and/or in that ex-British colony.

  • " weird isnt it?..they scream like that ahhh ahhh" LLOOLL...

  • no duh, korea is a world of plastic surgery!! i think every culture has its own beauty.

  • lmao @ 1:22 she's saying "thank u " as in " Duh!!! thanks for reminding" HAHA

  • Can really pick the different cultures....Koreans are so good looking
