Sorry, forgot to add - man, the horn lines are pleasantly tight! Dynamic mastery - I thought for a stage that somebody had recorded the piece, then gone through the file with a volume shifting tool to make the swells fluid and coherent. Great work overall, guys, even though I don't agree with the constantly-swung rhythm section - it sounds awesome :)
I think the soul of a New Orleans Second Line drum rhythms is to feature a 3/2 clave (or similar) on the bass drum, and a syncopated snare line that plays in between straight and swung - why'd you guys (or just, your drummer) decide to play completely swung?
