  • Question: Since the middle bulbous section of any galaxy is so much brighter, does that mean if we live closer toward the center, everything would be so bright? Perhaps no day/nights?

  • I've never done the math, but I'd be surprised if the stars are close enough together to create a sense of daylight. Remember that even in our own solar system, by the time you get out near the outer planets, our Sun just looks like a bright star, and it's effectively always night.

  • this is a good question but i wonder can a black hole die?

  • The top minds in astrophysics have been debating that for some time. Right now the consensus is leaning toward "yes," because it seems they can slowly evaporate. But there's still a lot of research to be done!

  • I have a question. If a galaxy lives for billions of years how can a human who's life is comparable to a gnat understand or answer such a question as , can a galaxy die? Why don't you just say you don't know?

  • For the same reason that you, someone who hasn't lived an entire human lifetime, can know the life cycle of a human. You can observe pregnant women, babies, children, adults, the elderly, and the dead, and connect the dots.

  • What if extraterrestriales (aliens) kill off the humans. Besides, nothing can travel faster then light. Even if we could travel faster than light, it would take 3-4 years to just get to Proxima Centauri. Life should only stay on whatever planet it was on to begin with. It would be like taking a species from Mars and putting it on Earth. Earth's life would die, but like on Mars would still be alive.

  • I hope we will travel the stars in six billion years or we are all toast! Literally!

  • we would have to get close to the speed of light tho

  • hahah say what?!

  • Humans will go all over the galaxy. Our strenght is to learn, a person is not eternal but they reproduce and teach and learn and advance a civilazation. Oneday we will travel the stars. Why do we humans always talk about our deaths and our us not succeding. is it becuase our life is not whole? Have faith

  • Stars have a fusion reaction, and fusing the lighter gases to heavier gases, untill it may not sustain the fusion reaction anymore and die out, or get such large mass that it collapses, creating a black hole, or blowing up.

  • We wont colonize the galaxy! its justt too big and humanity its not eternal!

  • Wouldn't hello kitty factories be more lucrative?

  • Mr Bean? xD
