My poor attempt to create a music video good enough for this great song by Elliott Smith. Really just experimenting, as usual. I know you'll enjoy the song, if not the video.

Hey! Don't be so self-effacing! This is an excellent video, you ought to be proud of it. There is a real talent to making a good video, especially one for an artist like Elliott Smith who has so many conflicting emotions wrapped around him, and yours manages to keep up the emotional integrity without lapsing into sentimentality, which I admire. Keep it up! Also, I liked the visual pun with cutting the picture into you and me. That was clever.

You think Elliott knew about the old standard, "Sweet Adeline" when he wrote this? I like to imagine yes, but maybe somebody here actually knows.

Very cool, would liked to have seen the box with cards being flicked onto a book go up in flames as a cheeky burning effigy. Maybe thats just me.
Do some more, there are loads of elliots songs that dont have vids or live performances you can watch and seeing photos of him for 3-4 minutes makes me a little sad. May I suggest "going nowhere".....

Good suggestion, Mike, although I doubt the people I live with would trust me with fire, haha. I'll think about making more--"Going Nowhere" is a good idea.

I'm glad you liked it! I'm a huge Elliott Smith fan, too, and I was nervous about trying to make a video that would compliment, but not distract from his incredible music.
