Partnerschools - Chokamnuay - 2006-01 - Tsunami Khao Lak Phuket Thailand

Chokamnuay School is one of our very active Partnerschools. It has about 80 students aged 3 - 12 and is situated near Kuraburi in the dschungle about 5 kilometres away from the big road crossing from Takuapa to Ranoong.
Since the Tsunami happed in Khao Lak and Phuket Thailand schools further north then Takuapa didn't received much support, while others do.
In January Chokamnuay School Thailand and Herman Delp and Pastorius School Bad Windsheim Germany started a partnerschool project to build a better kitchen, as the old one has been ruined by Termites. If this is finished a playground should be build together with students and parents. All projects are community-based and the people from Chokamnuan Communty work for free to build the cantine and the playground for their children.
