Franciscan Friars of the Renewal [PART 1]

The Friars of the Renewal formed to rediscover the original flavor of St. Francis and incorporate it into the Franciscan apostolates of evangelization and direct work with the poor. St. Francis became so much like Christ that Catholics look to honor him and gain insight from his life on how to be more like Christ in our own lives. Since we are more alive in the Body of Christ we ask Him for prayers as you would ask a friend or relative. The prayers of a righteous man availith much and there are few alive who are more righteous than Francesco Bernadone.

I'm very much interested in the Sisters of the same community. I love the Friars and Sisters very much. I hope to get to New York soon to discern with the Sisters. :) They are amazing people, on fire with the love of Christ and they are TRUE Franciscans.

I love the Franciscans of the Renewal, the Friars (I've met Fr. Stan!) and the Sisters (never met :( ). I'm just biding my time until I'm old enough to go to NY and do a come-and-see with the Sisters; I can't wait to see them personally!!! Everything I've seen and know of this Order just makes me fall in love with it more... =)

@YANKEEKID95: Pray, pray, and pray. Get in touch with vocation directors (whether of the Franciscans or in your diocese--both can help), find a worthy priest to be a spiritual director, and work with him on preparing your life (eliminating any sinful habits, etc.) as well as your interior life for your vocation. The closer you get to God, the more obvious it will become what he wants you to do with your life. Once you see that, all you have to do is say yes.

the IFs do the extraordinary form ocasionally, they do both forms. They are awesome, but they do a lot with the media: they use youtube a lot, they also publish books, pamphlets etc. They are also semi monastic.
